So I noticed a lot of my followers are also bloggers. I really wanted to create this blog post for you guys that are just starting out or want to create a blog. However, even if you’re a more experienced blogger, I hope you can take something from this. Keep in mind that I by no means know everything or even know a lot about blogging. These are just some things that have helped me in my blogging adventure!
1. Connect your other social medias.
This is so important! You can get more views on your blog, if you have an Instagram. For an example, whenever I have a new blog post, I’ll post in my story on Instagram to check it out. Make sure you also put links in your blog to your other channels, and remind your followers to follow your different social medias periodically.
2. You can generate money just through clicks.
Crazy right?! This is such an important fact. Maybe you get a ton of views, but you want to figure out how to earn money through your blog. Well, there are actually sites were you can earn money for people clicking on links you include in your posts. The best part is too, that if someone purchases through your link, you also get a commission.
The site I’ve been using for my posts is Magic Links(You can sign up for this program here). This is an affiliate link, but I am not being paid to post this and really love the site.
3. You can work with brands even when you have a small account.
Yep, I said it! I’ve worked with quite a good chunk of brands, even though I’m under 2k on my Instagram and have a relatively small blog. What’s my secret? A lot of them I contacted myself. Look for other bloggers around your size or a little bit bigger. Pay attention to what brands they work with. If they fit what you believe your blog audience would enjoy, maybe you should contact them. My motto has always been, “If you ask around enough, someone will say yes.”
4. Join blogger groups to kickstart your blog.
This is sooooo important! I am part of a group called Ipsy OS. It’s full of like-minded beauty, fashion, and lifestyle creators. It can be so helpful! When your just starting, your going to need help. Maybe your trying to figure out a glitch on your blog or how to add a certain widget. Whatever you need, the blogger groups can help answer your questions, read your blogs, etc.
5. It’s not going to be easy.
This is probably the most obvious one, but I want to end the post on this. Sometimes your views are going to go down. Sometimes you might feel like quitting. Your blog is probably not going to explode overnight. However, overall, you are going to learn so much from this, even if you don’t make blogging your career. Honestly, even though I haven’t been blogging for that long, I’ve already learned so much about marketing and advertising.
