No, I’m not trying to reference the show. I actually do think orange could be the new black. Something is happening in the fashion industry, and I love it! People are being encouraged to wear unique colors and styles or really whatever they like. Orange, though disliked by many, can be a very unique and beautiful color if worn right. Here’s my outfit of the day featuring some orange!
I started off this look with basing it around this camo jacket from Forever 21! At first, the orange part of the jacket was the only thing I disliked about it. However, now it’s one of the main factors that draws me to it! It’s definitely one of my new favorite jackets, and it’s super warm, so I’m SO here for it.I caved in too… I got one of the famous Cabby hats that everyone is wearing. And I got to be honest: I don’t regret it at all! It goes super well with any outfit and has a super artsy vibe to it. My sister complained about me pretty much wearing it everyday, so if that doesn’t say how much I like it, I don’t know what does. I bought mine super cheap for $7, but the sale ended, so now it’s $17.90.On top of that, I got a new pair of ripped jeans (I’m not 100% sure if it’s these ones, but I believe these are them). They are super comfortable and make any outfit look great. They are from Charlotte Russe, and I ALWAYS buy my jeans from Charlotte Russe because they are so comfortable and last quite a while.
I pulled out an old pair of glasses that I owned to go with this look from Sojos. This is another item that always takes my looks up a level. Plus it’s one of the pairs of glasses that I own that have lasted the longest (my glasses usually last like a month). For the lipstick, I put on an orange from one my Wolfe FX Paint Palette. You can really pair it with any lipstick brand, as many brands right now have a lot of great oranges!I also got a new pair of black boots too. I know I wear black combat boot heels with literally everything, but they’re honestly so comfy and can go for either casual or a little more dressy. And right now, the pair I bought are on sale for $20 (I bought them for $50), so I would definitely jump on this opportunity!
