Metallic but Still Wearable!?!? Too Faced Melted Matte-Tallic Liquified Lipsticks Review

Too Faced recently released their Melted Matte-Tallic Collection that contains thirteen metallic matte shades and a “Magic Metal transformer.” The intention of this line is to create color drenching shades that are “matte but never flat,” and I believe this line is just that!

Each of the shades retail for $21 and can be purchased at Too Faced, Ulta, or Sephora. If you’re like me, that’s a little more than you would like to regularly pay for a lip product, because there are sooo many good affordable options right now. On a rare occasion, I’ll pay that much for something really unique or good. Hear me out before you say these aren’t for you though, because these are an example of a product that I believe is totally worth the few extra dollars!

First off, the colors are absolutely stunning. There is something so intriguing, beautiful and unique about each color. I’ve included swatches of all the colors, so you can see how beautiful they are. Unfortunately, the pictures didn’t capture the metallic sheen on all of them too, so keep that in mind.

The next thing that I love about these metallic liquid lipsticks is that they’re actually wearable. I’ve owned metallics before and loved them because there’s something about the metallic that makes your eyes pop. However, I often ended up rarely wearing them because they’re so bold or sparkly. However, these metallics are the PERFECT in between because of the matte finish: they are actually wearable but they STILL pop!

The formula is also amazing! It seems very similar to their original liquid lipstick formula, but maybe even a bit more long lasting. They weren’t drying at all and lasted long after I ate or drank.

I also really liked the “Magic Metal Transformer” lip topper. It adds such a gorgeous, holographic sparkle to any matte lippie that needs an extra pop. I think this product is definitely more for someone who likes a bolder pop to add to their lippie, and it will take any lip color from boring to bold! This product is a little more drying than the other ones, but it is a full on glitter topper, so I personally really liked it!

Overall, I would highly recommend these liquid lipsticks. I’ve been wearing them non-stop since I got them, and they are definitely different than lip product that I’ve owned. They’re super unique; and whether you’re a fan of more natural lip products or love to be bold, this line has a shade for everyone!
