Classy Plaid

Classy plaid… seems like a bit of an oxymoron, right? I thought so too, until I got this cropped plaid jacket.

For quite a while, I saw plaid as an extremely casual pattern. I owned those old button up plaids with the roll up sleeves, and thought of plaid as nothing more than that… until recently. Plaid is currently becoming a popular pattern, and I’m seeing it being produced in more styles, such as dresses, blazers, and pants, and none of the styles are old and over worn.

When I saw this super cute cropped plaid jacket at Charlotte Russe, I knew it was going to be a new favorite of mine. The plaid looked extremely classy and modern, and I quickly found it to be a versatile piece. This item is currently not available, but I’ve included an extremely similar jacket here from Tilly’s, which is currently on sale for $13.98!

I paired this jacket with my black jumpsuit from Fashion Q (similar one here and here). The jumpsuit is by far my favorite staple item I’ve ever owned. It’s extremely comfortable, has pockets, can pass for both casual and fancy, and can be made into a completely different outfit by changing what it’s paired with.

For accessories, I paired this look with my white boots from Ami Club Wear that retail for $12.99! These white boots are everything! They’re super chic and comfortable, and they are a great statement piece for any look! I also added a chunky belt from Target to add to the cropped jacket look.

Thank you so much for reading today’s post! What patterns have you been into lately? Let me know! Bye loves!
